Content Ownership
Authors who publish original stories and chapters on Story World retain full copyright ownership of their work. By publishing on Story World, authors grant us a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute their content on the platform, as described in our Terms & Conditions.
Publishing on Story World does not transfer copyright ownership. You keep the rights to your work.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the content they publish does not infringe the intellectual property rights of others. This includes text, images, and any other material incorporated into their stories.
Platform Intellectual Property
The Story World name, logo, design system, platform code, and all content created by Story World (as distinct from user-submitted content) are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
- You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute Story World's proprietary content without our express written permission
- You may not use the Story World name or logo in a way that implies endorsement or affiliation without our consent
- You may not create derivative works based on our platform design or branding
DMCA & Infringement Claims
If you believe that content on Story World infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice of claimed infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction.
Your Notice Must Include
- Your full name and contact information (email address, postal address, and telephone number)
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The URL or other specific location on Story World where the allegedly infringing content appears
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content and will notify the author who posted it.
Counter-Notice
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:
- Your full name and contact information
- Identification of the content that was removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant court
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within the required period, we may restore the removed content.
Repeat Infringers
Story World has a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights. We take copyright seriously and will act accordingly.
